BIKING

St. Petersburg is ranked by the League of American Bicyclists as the 3rd Most Bicycle-Friendly Community in the country.  St. Pete features more than forty-five certified Bicycle Friendly Businesses, including eight in the EDGE District.   In addition, the City hosts the Coast Bike Share system with more than thirty bike rental and drop stations.  See MapLearn More about St. Pete Bicycling.

Bike trails and dedicated lanes run throughout the City, and connect to the county’s Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail, entering the EDGE District at 16th Street just south of 1st Avenue South.  In the EDGE, bicycle lanes run on 1st Avenues North and South, and road sharing for bicyclists and motorists is marked with “sharrows” on Central Avenue.

SCOOTERS

St. Petersburg also provides an e-scooter share system for another environmentally friendly mode of downtown transportation.  Two types of scooters are offered, and pickup/drop off corrals are available throughout the downtown streetscape. Rules of the road are enforced, including use only on streets with 30 mph limits or less, no use on sidewalks, no more than 1 rider per scooter, and drop off only inside of designated scooter corrals.

Currently in the EDGE District, there are e-scooter corrals at 913 1st Avenue North, 1111 Central Avenue, and 1320 Central Avenue.
